Osmosis

The natural tendency for water to spontaneously pass through a semipermeable membrane separating two solutions of different concentrations.

The water will naturally pass from the less concentrated solution to the more concentrated solution. Thus, natural osmosis tries to equalize the concentration of the solutions on both sides of the membrane. .
