Water Testing Recommendations
We just
drilled a new well. We’re thinking about buying a house. There’s a baby on the way. How can we tell if the water is safe to drink?
Air & Water Quality recommends that you test your water for a number of health-related and non-health related parameters, including: arsenic, nitrates, nitrites, uranium, lead (first draw), bacteria (E. coli, coli form), fluoride, iron, manganese, hardness, chlorides, pH and radon (air and water). This recommendation takes into account the EPA’s standards for public drinking water, Maine state recommendations, and our own experience in solving water problems since 1989. Test kits are available from Air & Water Quality. Please contact our office to discuss your concerns and determine the best testing program for your situation.
